Welcome to our Shipping Information page. At Big Island Candies, we take extra steps to ensure your gifts are handled with the utmost care and shipped to your destination without any worries. We guarantee that your purchases will arrive at their special destination in the best condition possible when you ship through us.
Departures and Arrivals
Because of the high perishability of our chocolate-dipped items, we ship your package via air courier service, only Monday through Thursday (Hawaii) and Monday through Wednesday (Continental U.S.), to ensure delivery to your destination.
Please note: Shipping days are subject to change during the holiday season.
Going the Extra Mile
Did you know that during the summer months, before sending out your package, our specialized shipping team will check the forecasted temperature of your package’s arrival date? If temperatures are too warm (75 degrees Fahrenheit or more), we will determine how many customized cooling gel-packs to include in your shipment. These frozen gel-packs are carefully wrapped to ensure the moisture from normal thawing will not affect your purchases. Because we know how important it is to have your package reach its destination in pristine condition, we will notify you immediately if we will not be able to meet this goal due to extreme summer conditions.
We currently ship to all 50 states, Canada and Japan. For other countries, please feel free to contact our Mail Order department for assistance.

- We ship internationally to Canada and Japan only. Please see Shipping Rates above.
- Orders to Japan with a net weight under 10 kg (22 lbs. or 352 oz.) and shipping to a residence will be sent via Yamato Transport.
- All other orders to Japan will be sent via Air Courier Service.
- All duties & taxes are paid in advance to Big Island Candies and are included in the freight cost above; recipients will not be responsible for paying additional costs upon delivery.
Additional Shipping Info
- We are unable to make changes to your order once it is placed. Also, future ship dates are not available at this time.
- Orders are shipped via Air Courier Service.
- Air Courier Service is unable to deliver to P.O. Box addresses.
- Orders with P.O. Box addresses, shipping to U.S. Territories and to an APO/FPO/DPO are shipped via USPS.
- Please note: We cannot guarantee the amount of time that it will take to have the parcel delivered or the condition of the product once it’s received.
- A current and accurate address is required. To ensure proper delivery, please be sure to include appropriate suite and/or apartment number when necessary. Big Island Candies will not be responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address and/or re-routing fees.
- Phone numbers for all recipients are required.
- Orders that are delivered within Hawaii will be subject to a 4.712% tax on the product and shipping total.
- Orders delivered to the U.S. mainland are subject to a tax on the product and the shipping total, as required by each state.
- Orders usually ship within three to five (3 - 5) business days from the time of receipt.
- Please note: There may be circumstances beyond our control that occur, such as carrier, and weather-related, delays—especially during busy holiday seasons.

- Pick-up orders are only available at our Hilo retail location; not available at our Ala Moana Center location.

percent pure Kona and Ka‘u coffee from farms here on Hawaii Island. There is no substitute for quality, and no
