Hilo can be a “sleepy” town, but the breathtaking Merrie Monarch Festival turns it into a pulsating city. The town awakens to Hawaiian chants; it rubs its eyes and takes in the stunning color found on Hula dancers’ flora-covered costumes. We’re especially happy this time of year to see our home rise and shine.
